Hi, I'm Alyssa!

a bit about me

I am a twenty-six year old woman living in the quad cities with my husband, our beautiful son, and our three cats. Before motherhood, you would have found me doing extravagant makeup looks almost daily, going back-country camping up north with my best friend Dan, and taking spontaneous trips to Colorado just to go hiking for 48 hours. Nowadays however, you will find me in my home, taking care of my son, and spending endless hours together.

Back in high school I started a YouTube channel and through that I fell in love with film and photography. I took all of the classes my school provided for those topics and dove head first into trying to learn everything I could about the art form. Soon after I purchased my first DSLR and slowly moved on from filming, to taking my own self portraits. It was a beautiful way to not only express myself, but to also gain confidence while doing so. I loved it.

As the years have passed I've stepped away from documenting myself, to documenting the humans around me. I've never been more passionate about anything in my entire life, and I am so thankful everyday to have the beautiful clients I do. I truly pour my heart and soul into each session I take on, and I am forever honored I get to call this my job.

If i had to define my style in a few words, IT would be moody and nostalgic with a focus on story-tellinG. THE GOAL IN MY SESSIONS IS TO NOT ONLY TAKE PHOTOS, BUT TO DO SO IN A WAY THAT IT FEELS AUTHENTIC TO MY CLIENTS BEING PHOTOGRAPHED. IT MAY FEEL AWKWARD AT FIRST, BUT I HOPE BY THE END OF OUR SESSION IT WILL FEEL JUST LIKE FRIENDS HANGING OUT.
